Use your Roblox username for FreeRBX verification, not the large display name you may see above an avatar. A display name is a presentation label; the username identifies the account you are linking. Confusing them can send a check to the wrong profile or prevent it from finding you.
The identifiers serve different jobs
Roblox profiles can show both a display name and an @username. More than one person can use the same display name, so that label alone is not a reliable payout destination. Your account also has a numeric user ID in its profile URL. The user ID is a separate identifier, and the FreeRBX username field is not asking you to paste the whole profile link.
For example, a profile might show the display name Star Builder and the username @StarBuilder_42. Enter StarBuilder_42 in the verification form. Copying Star Builder could refer to another account or fail to resolve. Compare the public profile you intend to link before changing its bio; this is especially useful when you have more than one Roblox account signed in on different devices.
Find the correct username
- Open your own Roblox profile while signed in to the intended account.
- Find the @username beneath or near the display name, or check the account information settings.
- Enter the username without extra spaces or the full profile URL.
- Place the current FreeRBX verification phrase in that same account's public bio.
- Check the linked username shown after verification succeeds.
The pass owner matters too
A correct username is necessary, but it is not the entire payout setup. A gamepass sale pays the owner associated with the pass and experience. If you create a pass under a group or another account, the proceeds may belong there rather than to your verified personal account. Before submitting, inspect the creator shown on the public pass page and the ownership in Creator Hub.
If you change a name after linking
Changing a display name is different from changing a username. A new display label does not mean you have created a new account. A username change, however, can leave a site-side stored label outdated. Ask FreeRBX support how to refresh the linked details, particularly if a withdrawal is pending. Do not assume a name change automatically updates every partner record.
For support, provide the current username, the previous linked username if relevant, your public profile URL, and the pass URL. Those public identifiers help resolve a mismatch without exposing account credentials. A screenshot of an avatar or display name alone is less useful because it may not uniquely identify the intended account.
